Titre  Stringy instabilities in holographic gauge theories at finite density 
Résumé  Holographic duality offers a tool for studying gauge theories at finite density. It is amusing (but perhaps to be expected) that the gauge theory phase that is best understood with conventional perturbative methods has proven the most subtle to understand in holography: the color superconductor. In this talk, I will discuss a stringy instability of charged black brane solutions termed brane nucleation, wherein the system can lower its free energy by placing some of the N Dbranes at a finite radius in the bulk, thus realizing a phase analogous to a color superconductor. We will see this occurring in the dual of both N=4 SYM at finite Rcharge density and in the KlebanovWitten gauge theory at finite baryon density.
