Titre | Nonlinear waves in networks: model reduction for the sine-Gordon equation |
Résumé | The propagation of localized waves in nonlinear networks is an ubiquitous problem. Examples are fluxon motion in arrays of Josephson junctions, pulse propagation in the circulatory system.. Modeling such problems is difficult and it is helpful to simplify the equation and the geometry. We will illustrate these issues with the analysis of the propagation of sine-Gordon waves through Y junctions. |
