Titre | Quantum chromodynamics from the functional point of view |
Résumé | Functional equations are a non-perturbative continuum approach to quantum field theories. For quantum chromodynamics they provide access to the strongly coupled regime and hence allow to study phenomena like confinement or dynamical symmetry breaking and creation of mass. In this talk I will first give an introduction to Dyson-Schwinger equations, which are one particular set of functional equations. I will then provide an overview of their applications in quantum chromodynamics, before I finish with a review of recent advances in the Yang-Mills sector. |
