Titre | Probing Black Hole Physics with Multi-centered Supergravity Solutions |
Résumé | Multi-centered solutions in supergravity have been found to allow many rich physical phenomena; they are also of paramount importance in the construction of black hole microstate or fuzzball geometries. I will investigate properties of a particular two-centered solution consisting of a three-charge black hole and a (probe) supertube. When this system seems supersymmetric, there are nevertheless moduli that can be tuned such that supersymmetry is broken; this peculiarity can be crucial in the study of supersymmetric fuzzballs. I will also discuss when the non-extremal version of this two-centered system will be energetically and entropically favored over a single-centered black hole, thus indicating when this single-centered black hole should be unstable towards disintegration into two or more centers. |
