Turbulent strings in AdS/CFT |

Résumé |
I will talk about nonlinear dynamics of the string dual to the flux tube between an external quark-antiquark
pair in N=4 SYM using AdS/CFT. Numerically computing the time evolution of the string whose motions are
induced by perturbing the endpoints, I will show cusp formation on the string. I will discuss a connection
between this phenomenon and turbulent behavior in the energy spectrum. |
