| Résumé | In this talk I will first review some aspects of the topological string/spectral theory duality and then I will discuss the relation between this construction and Painlevé equations. I will apply these results to study Seiberg-Witten theory in the 4-dimensional self-dual omega background and show that it admits an operator/spectral theory interpretation leading to a dual description in terms of a Fermi gas. |
