Pairing in population imbalanced Fermion systems in one and two dimensions |
Résumé |
We use Quantum Monte Carlo simulations to study pairing in one- and
two-dimensional fermionic systems governed by the Hubbard model with
attractive contact interaction and with imbalanced spin
populations. We determine the phase diagram as a function of
temperature and polarization and find that the
``Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov'' (FFLO) phase is quite robust and
persists to higher temperature for higher polarization. We compare
with experiments on one-dimensional systems currently underway. |
