Titre |
Computation and the nano-bio-med frontier |
Résumé |
The Core Science Disciplines: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology are no longer adequate descriptors of what most scientists do in their day-to-day research!
Todays research frontiers explore intellectual interfaces for example nanoscale hard inorganic / soft organic matter systems that will have a key role to play in 21st century innovation designed to impact applications in the domains of energy, health, sustainability and more!
In my talk, I will emphasize mostly soft matter research, especially the linking of molecular design (computational chemistry) to applications at the nano-bio-med frontier and in so doing; embrace the fields of chemical engineering, materials science, physiology and biophysics, as well as touching on applications in medicine.
