Titre | On black hole horizons and complementarity |
Résumé | I will discuss how aspects of the black hole information paradox can be resolved by the principle of black hole complementarity . This relies on the idea that locality in quantum gravity is an emergent and thus approximate property, while the fundamental formulation is characterized by non-locality over large scales. By considering a simple toy model in AdS/CFT, I will explain that this is a general feature of quantum gravity even in the absence of black holes. |
