Titre | Supergravity from RG flows via Holography |
Résumé | Deformations of conformal field theories trigger RG flows. In field theories which admit a holographic description RG flows can be interpreted as non-trivial solutions of the bulk theory. Thus one can obtain results about the bulk theory provided that one has a handle on the RG flow on the field theory side. For some classes of RG flows that preserve enough symmetries this is indeed the case. We are able to systematically describe certain classes of RG flows and use them to derive supergravity solutions, all this while inferring the supergravity scalar potential. This potential has a general form that matches several known cases. This procedure suggests the existence of new families of consistent truncations of the ten-dimensional supergravity. |
