Title | Marginal Deformations and Boundary Conformal Field Theory |
Abstract | The presence of a boundary or defect in a conformal field theory allows for a new qualitative class of marginal deformations. I will discuss examples of such deformations for free scalars and fermions and also for an interacting theory with some similarities to graphene. There is a surprising connection to field theory on anti-de Sitter space and to results from AdS/CFT correspondence. |
