Résumé |
Surprising little is known today about the dynamics of strongly-coupled chiral gauge theories in four dimensions. After briefly reviewing the earlier studies of these theories, we shall first discuss a recent attempt to systematically check the consistencies of various dynamical possibilities in a wide class of models. In search for a deeper understanding of the dynamics of strongly-coupled gauge theories, we next turn to some remarkable ideas such as generalized symmetries, 1-form center-symmetry gauging and mixed 't Hooft anomalies, which have led to a number of interesting new results about the infrared dynamics of vector-like gauge theories (YM, QCD) during the last couple of years. Finally the on-going efforts to apply these new techniques to chiral gauge theories will be mentioned. |
