Title | Characterisation of coupling properties and width of vector-like fermions at the LHC |
Abstract | The existence of new states with spin one-half and vector-like properties is a striking prediction of various classes of new physics models. Should one of these states be discovered at the LHC or future colliders, understanding its properties, such as their dominant coupling chirality or their width will be crucial in order to shed light on the underlying model structure. I will show how it is possible to characterise vector-like fermions in different scenarios, and in the whole discovery range currently accessible at the LHC and future colliders, thus effectively narrowing down the possible interpretations of a discovered state in terms of new physics models. |
