Title | Symmetries and Derivatives for Heterotic Moduli Spaces |
Abstract | A virtue of the special geometry underlying Calabi--Yau 3-manifolds is the existence of a canonical choice of coordinates for the corresponding moduli space. In heterotic theories there is no obvious choice of coordinates and so we should be covariant in discussing moduli spaces. This necessitates the construction of covariant derivatives with respect to parameters. Such derivatives are naturally descried by a universal bundle for heterotic theories. I will discuss how to do this and what it means geometrically & physically. |
