Titre | The holographic landscape of symmetric product orbifolds |
Résumé | Symmetric product orbifolds provide a vast landscape of 2d CFTs with a good large central charge limit and exhibit several holographic properties: they reproduce the BTZ black hole entropy and satisfy large N factorization for correlation functions. However, these theories are known to exhibit Hagedorn growth for the light operators, which indicates that they have very stringy AdS duals. In some cases, they may possess exactly marginal operators that can drive the theory into a strong coupling regime where the stringy states of the bulk decouple and the gravitational dual becomes supergravity. In this talk, I will present a complete classification of when such a deformation is possible for supersymmetric 2d CFTs in terms of a simple criterion. I will then discuss a path towards finding new concrete CFTs that satisfy the criterion and therefore finding new microscopic realizations of AdS/CFT. |
