Title | Testing the nature of dark compact objects with gravitational waves |
Abstract | Gravitational wave astronomy allows us for unprecedented tests of the nature of dark compact objects to search for new exotic species of compact objects. I will give an overview, focusing on some recent results, including ringdown tests, gravitational-wave echoes, inspiral tests of the multipolar structure of supermassive objects, tests of the Kerr bound on the spin with extreme-mass ratio inspirals, and tidal effects. |
