Titre | Tree-level trends for 1d conformal correlators |
Résumé | Holographic 1-dimensional defects are a simple non-trivial playground in which a wealth of results can be computed. The theory of the operators inserted on that line is a one-dimensional conformal field theory and the holographic dual is an effective theory of fields propagating in AdS2 space. In this talk, I will present 3 such examples of defects in 4d, 3d and 2d CFTs. Holographic duality and conformal bootstrap allow us to compute the first Tree- level (Next to leading order) quantities and extract the anomalous dimension of operators in the theory. These anomalous dimensions are remarkably simple relative to the generic case. Using Mellin Space, we can single out an example of scalar QFT in AdS2 which exhibits the same property. The talk will proceed as follows, after an introduction to holographic defects, I will present the perturbative computations of correlators in the defect theory. I will then briefly explain how the Mellin space formalism can simplify these correlators and single out a simple theory. The final part will be an open discussion on which symmetries could be at the origin of such a simplification, and which additional constraints could be implemented as a result. |
