Titre | Accelerated expansion and scalar potentials from string theory |
Résumé | Our universe is currently observed to be in accelerated expansion, as it probably was in its early days during an inflation phase. Reproducing this phenomenon from string theory, providing this way an origin to dark energy, has proven to be very challenging. We will discuss the progress and difficulties in doing so, either by finding classical de Sitter solutions, or by obtaining scalar potentials with appropriate slopes. Time allowing, we will present side results related to string theory scalar potentials, namely the Massless Minkowski Conjecture, and a mass bound for (susy) anti-de Sitter solutions. |
