How predictive are cosmological theories? |

Abstract |
I will review the progress achieved in theoretical and observational cosmology
over the past 40 years and explain how the theoretical predictions for the
temperature fluctuations of the Cosmic Microwave Background, made in 1980, have
subsequently been fully confirmed in precision measurements for the last 30 years.
