Titre | Multiparticle interference in electronic Mach-Zehnder interferometers |
Résumé | I will present the results of our theoretical studies of the recently observed "unexpected behavior" in electronic Mach-Zehnder interferometer constructed from two chiral quantum Hall edge states by a group from Weizmann institute [1]. The lobes in the visibility of the Aharonov-Bohm oscillations under applied bias are believed to arise because of the interactions between electrons, but no clear explanation of this phenomenon has been presented so far. We argue that the destructive interference of the paths with different number of particles in the interferometer arms is responsible for this behavior. Using perturbation theory in interactions and the exact solution of the problem we propose theoretical explanation of this phenomenon. [1] I. Neder, M. Heiblum, Y. Levinson, D. Mahalu and V.
