| Titre | One-dimensional theory of the quantum Hall system |
| Résumé | Recent work has established that there is a simple one-dimensional limit of the quantum Hall system that is exactly solvable, but still exhibits the rich structure of, and is adiabatically connected to the bulk 2D system. After an introduction of the quantum Hall effect, I will guide you through the main results of the 1D approach. As applications I will discuss the abelian hierarchy and gapless states as well as non-abelian phases. |
