Résumé |
Acoustic properties of solids and liquids are very sensitive to subtle changes in local or long-range order. Thereby, the measurement of elasticity of metals under extreme conditions appear to be a key parameter to unravel how electronic properties evolve in metals at high density. By way of example, the cases of (i) high-spin to low-spin transition in invar iron-nickel alloy and (ii) 4f electron delocalization in cerium will be discussed. Scientific and technical perspectives will then be given. |
