A three-semester teleteaching course:
"Simulations of quantum many body systems"
is organized by M. Troyer, U. Schollwoeck, and W. Krauth.
Lecturers in this course will be Adrian Feiguin (Wyoming), Werner Krauth
(Paris), Andreas Laeuchli (Dresden), Nikolay Prokof'ev (Amherst), Ulrich
Schollwoeck (Munich), Boris Svistunov (Amherst), Simon Trebst (Microsoft
Research, UCSB), Matthias Troyer (Zurich), Philipp Werner (Zurich),
among others.
The courses take place Thursday, 16:00-18:00 GMT, starting on March 4th,
2010. It will be possible to follow the lectures in direct at
participating institutions (also at 24 rue Lhomond, in Paris, salle de reunion du CRI), but also via internet.
The spring semester 2010 will feature courses by
W. Krauth (Monte Carlo Methods)
A. Laeuchli (Exact Diagonalization)
U. Schollwoeck (Density Matrix renormalization group)
M. Troyer (Quantum Lattice models)
to be followed, in the fall semester 2010,
by couses by B. Svistunov, N. Prokov'ev, M. Troyer, A. Feiguin, and S.
Trebst.
