Quantum critiality in 3 He bi-layers |

Résumé |
When two layers of He are adsorbed on graphite, strongly correlated effect between the fermions are observed. In particular, a metal- insulator transition is experimentally unveiled. We give in this work a field theoretical interpretation of these results, making extensive use of the analogy between the system of 3 He bi-layers and the Kondo lattice model, standardly used for heavy fermion compounds. |
