Titre |
Non-equilibrium fluctuation-dissipation relation from holography |
|
Résumé |
We will discuss holographic prescriptions for obtaining non-equilibrium
correlation functions in strongly coupled quantum systems. The holographic duality
maps these to fluctuations of fields in appropriate geometries of a theory of classical
gravity in one higher dimension. We will obtain the non-equilibrium spectral function
and the statistical function individually. We will see that the non-equilibrium spectral
function carries detailed information of the relaxation modes of the strongly coupled
quantum system and their collective non-linear dynamics. Furthermore, the fluctuationdissipation
relation relating the spectral and statistical functions is universal for any
holographic model in the classical gravity approximation, and is determined by the final
temperature at which the system thermalizes. We will argue this universality provides a
strong test of the holographic scenario for heavy-ion collisions and strongly correlated
non-Fermi liquids. |
