Direct and indirect observations of the first galaxies can teach us about the nature of dark matter. In this
talk I will mainly focus on the signature of the earliest galaxies in the redshifted 21-cm signal of neutral
hydrogen, which appears to be sensitive to both the decay rate of a dark matter particle and its mass in
Warm Dark Matter scenarios. In addition, I will comment on possible difficulties in interpretation of the
indirect observation, related to our poor understanding of various astrophysical processes at high redshifts. |
