Classification of Rank 1 N=2 superconformal field theories |

Résumé |
The Seiberg-Witten construction provides a beautiful geometric understanding of N=2 theories. This
construction shows that N=2 superconformal field theories (SCFTs) are given by scale invariant, singular
Rigid Special Kahler geometries which in the rank=1 case were completely classified by Kodaira. We will
review this construction and argue that the picture is in fact much richer, as for each element in the
Kodaira classification exist many SCFTs. Through our construction we can reproduce all the known SCFTs in
N=2 and conjecture many more. |
