Title | Sandpiles, loop-erased random walks, depinning of CDW, and the O(n) model at n=-2... How are they all related? |
Abstract | Abelian sandpiles, loop-erased random walks, and charge-density waves at depinning all belong to the same universality class, as does the O(n) model at n=-2. The equivalences between these systems are exciting, as they related models with quenched disorder, cellular automata, and the classical O(n)- symmetric phi^4 theory for which we know results up to 7 loops. |
